This is your chance to showcase your skills and take your dancing to the next level as a competitive member of the award-winning PDS Elite Team!
All skill levels from ages 6-18 are welcome to audition on Saturday, April 18, 2026.
*You may audition for both or just one division of company*
Dancers/Parents will be emailed once results are determined and an informative parent meeting invitation sent out.
Sessions: Hip Hop Division Auditions (All Ages) 12:30 PM – 2:30 PM All Elite Division Auditions (All Ages) 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM
2. Tryout Structure
How will tryouts work?
Dancers will participate in:
- Across-the-floor combinations - Technique evaluations - Short choreographed routines in multiple styles (jazz, lyrical/contemporary, hip hop, and more, if applicable)
Judges will be looking for:
- Strong technique - Performance quality and stage presence - Ability to quickly learn and adapt to choreography - A positive attitude, teamwork, and professionalism
3. Placement
Call Back Process
Dancers invited to callbacks will receive an email within 48 hours of tryouts.
Callback auditions will include more focused evaluations, potential interviews, and group work to assess collaboration, versatility, and leadership qualities.
4. Team Placement
Results and Expectations
Results & Next Steps: - Audition results and team placements will be emailed by Sunday, April 19th, 2026
- Accepted team members will need to confirm their placement and submit contracts by Sunday, May 3rd.
Important Reminders: - Check in 30 minutes prior to the start of auditions.
- Please bring an 8x10 printed headshot or a clear photo of yourself. - Wear appropriate dance attire and bring all necessary dance shoes.
Team Expectations for the 2026–2027 Season: - Weekly required rehearsals and technique classes
- Mandatory participation in local competitions (with potential opportunities for national competitions)
- Required attendance at all team events
- Additional opportunities for solos, duos, and trios available by invitation
