Annika Vaughn

Annika is a seasoned professional with a deep-rooted passion for the arts, specifically dance. Born and raised in Scottsdale, AZ, she has over 20 years of experience in the dance industry, having gained numerous regional, state, and national titles with esteemed studios like Master Ballet Academy and Dance Connection Scottsdale.

Annika's journey into dance began early, leading her  to ultimately decline a full ride scholarship to the Kirov Academy of Ballet in pursuit of a comprehensive high school experience at Notre Dame Preparatory. There, she made a significant impact as the only freshman on the varsity pom team, eventually assuming the role of varsity captain during her senior year, where she honed her skills in mentorship and leadership.

Post-graduation, Annika shifted her focus to pursue nursing, earning her degree and currently practicing as an Emergency Room Registered Nurse. Alongside her nursing career, she serves as an assistant at Sharpen Up Dance Team Training, where she continues to learn from and collaborate with top instructors in Arizona.

Annika's coaching expertise extends to Sandra Day O'Connor High School Pom Team, where she has guided her team to numerous regional and national championships, including a notable 2nd place finish in Small Advanced Pom at USA Nationals.

Annika's leadership, mentorship, and deep-rooted love for dance continue to inspire and elevate the dancers she works with, solidifying her role as a respected figure in the local dance community.
